Rare 1980 Gibson Les Paul KM 59 Re-Issue. These were made in 1979 however this particular guitar was done in early 1980 and is one of only a handfull done in 1980. Here it is one of the finest pre historic 59 re-issues made the "old way" in Kalamazoo Mich. There were 1500 of thes made in 79, 750 for the US market and 750 for the Japanese market. Most of these went immediately to collections. This rare natural finish guitar with nickel hardware, solid mahogany body and maple neck is a very clean example. There are a few light indentations on it but no major blemishes. Sporting the rare creme colored t top pickups, beautiful brazilian rosewood board, real pearl markers, and gloss natural finish it is an excellent player and sounds incredible, weighing in at 10.5 lbs she is a tone monster that growls when you need it to. These rare guitars are steadily going up in value due not only to the quality of the build but the fact that they were some of the the last Les Pauls ever built in Kalamazoo.
